Virtual Storytime: The Great Santa Stakeout

The Great Santa Stakeout

Opening Song:  Dance Your Fingers

Dance your fingers up, dance your fingers down

Dance your fingers to the side and dance them round and round

Dance them on your shoulders, dance them on your head

Dance them on your belly and now put them to bed!

Rhyme:  I'm a Little Santa

I'm a little Santa, short and fat.

Here is my beard and here is my sack.

On Christmas Eve I hop in my sleigh,

With a ho, ho, ho I'm on my way!

Book:  The Great Santa Stakeout by Betsy Bird, illustrated by Dan Santat, published by Arthur A. Levine Books.

How would you trap Santa for a selfie?  Draw a picture, or blueprints, of a Santa trap.  You could even use Lego bricks to build a model!

Rhyme:  Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star

Twinkle, twinkle Christmas star

How I wonder what you are

Santa needs your shining light

Guide him on his way tonight

Twinkle, twinkle Christmas star

How I wonder what you are

Oh no!  Miss Tiffany forgot to sing our closing song!  That's what happens when she doesn't have any storytime kids to keep her in line!

Closing Song:  May There Always Be Sunshine

May there always be sunshine

May there always be blue skies

May there always be children

May there always by you

May there always be stories

May there always be music

May there always be laughter

May there always be you

May there always be kindness

May there always be love

May you always feel special

Because you are you

Sending you smiles from afar!
Miss Tiffany
