What is the Weather Like Today?

Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Look outside now; can you say

What the weather is like today?

Is there sunshine, is there rain,

Is wind blowing down the lane?

 Are there snowflakes falling down,

Are there big clouds floating around?

Look outside now; can you say

What the weather is like today?

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Rain, rain go away

Come again another day.

Rain, rain go away

Little Johnny  wants to play.

Repeat and replace little Johnny with your family members.

Craft Instructions:

1. Decorate your umbrella with crayons or markers.

2. Glue Popsicle stick down to the plate to be your handle.

3. Tape or glue the string to the back of the umbrella and hang raindrops from the bottom.

Extra play Ideas:

·        Make a water cycle in a (ziploc) bag. Draw some clouds, an ocean and a sun on the bag and add some colored water. Attach the bag on the window. Observe the water evaporating and condensing in the bag over the next few days.

·        Wait for the weather to turn and do a rainy day experiment by following the directions on the next page.
